Audition Information
Auditions are held in Spring and Fall. Spring Auditions are for all four orchestras; Fall auditions are only for Wasatch Mountain Camerata (WMC), Youth String Ensemble (YSE), and Youth Chamber Orchestra (YCO).
Auditions are for new students or current students who would like to change orchestras. Any current students wishing to stay in the same orchestra does not need to auditions, but will be reenrolled in the fall. Please note, changing orchestras is not guaranteed with an audition and will be determined by the conductors.

Spring Auditions are scheduled!
YACP auditions will be held Monday, April 27 at Highland High School. A time will be assigned after registration.
Auditions for WMC, YSE, YCO will be held Monday, May 4 at Highland High School. A time will be assigned after registration.

Come prepared to play a 3 octave scale and 2-3 minutes of your most technical piece. Additionally, at check-in you will receive music and will have a few minutes to look at it. Then you will go to one room to play it with a quartet for that part of your audition and to another room to audition with your scale and solo piece.WMC, YSE, YCO
Be prepared to play a 3 octave scale (2-3 octave for YCO), to sight read, and to play your best technical piece. -
